Finally something that works 100% as advertised!

In less than 15 minutes I was able to make a 10 year old light heavily oxidized match a new light that was replaced due to an accident. Great results, easy to applicate, highly recommend.

    Cerakote too thin

Posted by RF on Sep 23rd 2020

Ive used multiple products over the years and my favorite is the Sylvania restoration kit because the clear coat can be applied thick, which results in a perfect finish. Unfortunately I have to redo this process annually, or sooner if I go through an automatic car wash. This is why I wanted to try the cerakote product. This kit may be superior in longevity (well see) but the cerakote towelette is only able to apply a thin coating. This makes the application cumbersome and even when you get it perfect you can still see a slight haze since the coating isnt thick enough to lay down to create smooth, always wet, look. Most people would say my headlights look perfect but I can see it. Ive used the product 3 separate times with the same results. The company should consider a vile of the coating which can be poured onto a lint-free tower, that would earn this product 5 stars.

Even first time users can do it!

This is an amazing product and incredible customer service. One of the packets (Step 3) was dried out and they sent a replacement promptly. I cannot rate the longevity but the product made my 2012 hazed over headlights crystal clear.

Easy to use but questioning the life of the product

Posted by Charles on Sep 23rd 2020

Ive restored at least around a dozen sets of head lights in the past few years, and thought I would give this product a try. These headlights were originally refinished with a 3m kit around 5 years ago. This kit is much easier to use, but make sure to wear gloves and use it in a well ventilated area. There's some chemical in this that etches the plastic lens of the lamps and i believe melts it to smooth it out. The last three photos are today, approximately 60 days after the application. The driver side headlight has developed a streaking, and the passenger side headlamp has started to get a haze again on the side of the lamp assembly. I'm not overly confident that these headlamps wont be streaky and hazed over in the next 6 months.
