You want to make your car's plastic parts black again?

Posted by iBimmer on Jan 5th 2021

This is what you need. I've tried many others, most major brands everyone knows about, but this is the real deal. The downside is that you must use gloves (included) when applying and that it WILL mess up the car paint. Be VERY careful and DO tape off the adjacent painted areas. My car has black paint and these wipes left hazy marks on the painted metal that won't come off with a simple buff or polish.

One kit is NOT ENOUGH for a Chevy Avalanche with Cladding

Posted by Zachary Bongiorno on Jan 4th 2021

Question to Cerakote - Will 1 kit cover a Chevy Avalanche with cladding? The answer by Cerakote was " 1 kit will be enough to cover the project" ...not true, I ran out of wipes and could not finish my vehicle.

Seems to work well so far

Posted by W. Smith on Jan 2nd 2021

1st time use. I drive a JKU which has a crapload of plastic (fenders, bumpers, door handles... ). Anyone who has a jeep knows how fast and hard the plastic goes grey. This product seemed to immediately take it the original black. It was pretty easy to apply, went on smooth so on and so forth. I will say that it did seem to streak a little when applied, but I used a microfiber cloth on each section a couple of seconds after application and that seemed to help. A lot of reviews said not to use it on non textured plastic because it streaks badly. I tried it on my grill using the microfiber clothes to smooth out the streaks and that seemed to work well too. I'll update this review later after it has some time on the vehicle.

    Straight up Voodoo Magic

Posted by DBK on Dec 31st 2020

Um. Wow. This stuff is straight up voodoo magic. Not yet sure on longevity, but it was simple to use and looks freaking amazing. I used it on all the plastic molding and even on the metal trim on my camper shell. I would recommend purchasing some standard kitchen dishwashing gloves for application - the provided ones tear fairly easily.
