    Clean your surface first

Picture of my trim before and after cleaning with sponges. "B" pillar trim half done to show removed oxidation. This is "before" applying Cerakote. Make sure to clean the surface of your trim first with Mr CLean magic eraser or melamine sponges. Looks great after applying Cerakote afterward.

Works for most car applications. Great product.

Excellent product. It works really well on several year old plastic. Restores it just like new. Tried it on foot steps that were more than 10 years old and it made them better but not great. It works best on newer plastics.

Make sure you follow the directions

The product was easy to apply and my trim looks like new. Ive washed the trim multiple times and it still looks great! I ordered more to use on my other vehicles.

Works as advertised. Made our 5 yr old motorhome number and wheel trim look new again. The difference is great. I just put it on a week ago so I cant rate longevity yet, but I recommend it.

    Streaked and bubbled in spots.

Everything worked out but a couple of areas Those areas make me wish that I hadn't done it at all. I went by the directions verbatim. Get up this morning and these areas are streaked and bumpy. Like small bubbles. Looks HORRIBLE! What can be done? I added another coat to it.... It makes it worse so now I'm just screwed I suppose.

    Think Twice!

I've read many positive reviews of the product along with some online videos, so I took the plunge. I followed the instructions contained in the package for cleaning and prep. I applied this to a 2020 Toyota Rav Hybrid which is surrounded by black trim 360 degrees. I started with a test area on the front bumper, waited for it to dry and all looked good. I proceeded to apply around wheel wells and rocker panels and back bumper. I returned back to my garage after 30 minutes and was horrified at the results. A white haze pattern appeared around the wheel wells and rocker panels. Terrible results. The only two sections that turned out acceptable was the front and rear bumper (maybe different material). I have since cycled through a car wash (6 times) in an attempt to remove this product with out much success at this point. I am hoping the product eventually wears off and I can go back to using a more conventional and trusted product and restore the blackness . The remaining product was tossed in the garbage. If you use it be extremely careful.
