CERAKOTE® Ceramic Trim Coat Restoration Kit

The one car kit was perfect to put a nice gloss on the black external trim on my Car. I had enough left over to touch up my truck and motorcycle. The Cerakote made my dull black appear almost new. It also shined up Kawasaki green quite well. Made the old 90’s bike look new! Very pleased.

I’ve used just about every trim product on the market and would categorize them as a temporary cream/gel. This product is like a clear coat that partially absorbs and then cures. There isn’t a greasy residue like I would normal expect and the water still beads up after numerous washes. On a serious note, this appears to be a semi-permanent or maybe even permanent product and I would use caution around paint and glass which the directions state. Only other thing I’ve noticed is that it doesn’t attract dust if you live in an area with dirt roads which I do, so this is a nice benefit. I’ll update later in the summer when I have more washes….so far I’m impressed.

This product is the best at bringing back black faded trim. I cleaned my trim on my used BMW X3 and applied this amazing coating. The ease of use is unreal it’s simple and the results are the best . The trim is brand new and I had faded trim. You will not be disappointed with this product.

I love this stuff!!! I always test a new product on something unimportant – an old faded landscape light in this case. I applied it quickly and pretty carelessly to one side and slowly and carefully to the other, following the instructions exactly. The second side was perfect, and so was my Jeep trim after it was treated! If you are lazy, you will get uneven, streaky results. If you just take a few minutes and do it right, it will look like new. Will see how it holds up through washes, but it has been hit with sprinklers on the street many times already with no change. Overall excellent product. You need to thoroughly prep the surface as instructed and then let it dry. Product has a strong ammonia smell - would not apply in a small garage. Pictures shown are immediately after - finish improved slightly by the following morning. 4 stars for being overall excellent, but if your trim is badly faded, you may need a second coat, which I didn’t realize until I had removed all the tape put down in prep. Slightly larger wipes also would be nice.

The Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat Kit came very quick after ordering. Even ordering through Amazon, my package was delivered the very next day. I was unable to use the product for the first week I had it, but finally got around to using it yesterday. In the main package there were 10 individually packaged wipes, and two pairs of gloves. I thoroughly washed and dried my vehicle prior to applying the Cerakote. I even went as far as to use my air compressor to make sure the surface was completely dry. One thing that I think some people forget to do, is to make sure that the surface they are applying the product to is cool to the touch. I chose a small area of my vehicle to try this on, but one that need to be restored. I carefully applied the Cerakote Trim Coat to the bumper cover, being careful to only get it on the plastic and not on the paint. Applying small, short strokes of the wipe seemed to do the job. Immediately you could see the old dull area become shiny and dark black. Once I was done, and about 30 minutes after application, I took my after pictures. So far it seems like a great product, and I will look this evening to see if anything has changed. I plan to use this next on the inside of the vehicle to liven up some dull, worn out areas. I look forward to great results and a continued future using the Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat Kit.
