    Pads dry out too quickly!

Posted by Kindle Customer on Oct 13th 2020

The pads are a good idea but they do not have enough moisture in them to completely do the job of redoing the trim on the outside of a vehicle. The company should sell this stuff in a bottle where you can wipe it on with a towel. Those little pads dry out WAY TO QUICKLY!

    Best Trim Coating

Posted by Frank Muschetto on Oct 12th 2020

Cerakote is by far the best trim coating I have ever used. It goes on easily and lasts. Lasts far longer than other trim coatings I've used that have cost a lot more. It leaves a somewhat shiny finish - not obnoxious, deep in color and with a light shine - and really brings out the trim color. Could not be happier. I highly recommend.

    Don't use on non-faded trim!

Product turned my trim white and cloudy. My nice black interior trim now looks ruined and I haven't heard back from them on how to remove it. Thanks Cerakote!

    Dries terrible on textured plastic

Posted by Adam on Oct 12th 2020

Depends on the plastic. The handles on my Jeep JKU and certain plastics on the Jeep look great but the areas where I was most concerned with turned out absolutely horrible. I had bumpers that had lost a little black due to fading. When I wash and wax I could get them to darken back up temporarily but after a few washes would turn back to the dark grey color. I cane across the Cerakote wipes and was excited to get something that was supposed to last up to 200 washes. Followed all directions and stripped any residue off with dawn dish soap and coated inside a garage. What I was left with was terrible streaks all over my front and back bumper. I have went over them multiple times trying to even it up but to no avail. This $25 product has bow made my Jeep look like a complete mess. Now have to contemplate spending $600 on a set of steel bumpers. Buyer beware.......

Project Farm on YouTube brought me here!

Posted by Frank on Oct 11th 2020

Check him out! I have a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT. If you own one of these you know there is A LOT of black vinyl on these cars. It doesnt take long for this trim to fade. When you first get the car brand new youre detailing it constantly. Although it is a few years old I take pride in my cars appearance inside and out. In the beginning I didnt mind spending time detailing and using a competitive vinyl restorer on the trim and washing / waxing the car. Its a big vehicle so it takes a lot of time. The most frustrating thing after spending a good portion of the day detailing it like new is to have the black trim streak, attracting dust, and spots from the slightest amount of rain. I got so frustrated from all that I only just made sure my paint was shiny and neglected the trim since it was such a waste of time and money. Since my purchase this is really holding up really well! A few days of driving in the rain and a rewash at a self-service car wash and its the same as the day I put it on. The review on Project Farm convinced me to try it and Im so glad it did. Follow the directions and take your time. Using painters tape for areas you dont want to get on the paint. I was able to carefully wipe the edge of the vinyl by keeping the folded edge of the napkin wipe as a guide. Take your time and youll be happy with the result. I parked my car on the grass and moving blanket since I was lying on my side to get the trim under the doors, front, and rear spoiler. I even did the plastic between the windshield and engine bay were the wipers are. I purchased one kit and I had one package left. Perfect if you have a large SUV or truck. If you want to enjoy washing your car but keep your car looking great and just forget about dealing with restoring your vinyl trim each time buy this!
