2011 Chevy Avalanche
30 days in, two road tips, both with severe rain events and the product still looks like it was just applied. I was even asked if I had replaced all the plastics with new OEM parts. Perfect! As the owner of an Avalanche, the quest to find a product that details the amount of plastics on this vehicle has been frustrating. Most require multiple applications to resurrect the blacks only for them to fade in less than a month. Those products have all been removed from my detailing cart. When applying the CERAKOTE, I followed the instructions, washed the vehicle and then used Blue Dawn to extra clean all the plastics. I made sure everything was dry. Masked the paint in some areas. Verified the plastics for application, no black anodized or painted metals. It was an overcast day, ~65 degrees. Worked fast and made sure to spread the product evenly. Yes, I used all 10 of the packets to detail the 2011. You will need more if you have the earlier Avalanche version with the side cladding. The CERAKOTE creates deep blacks and with a sheen that matches the OEM sheen of the plastic on the tailgate cap (this piece has always retained its "new" luster). I have a white vehicle, chrome wheels and with a simple wash the CERAKOTE'D blacks have it looking new!

Be patient....
Take your time putting the coating on. It's easy to mess up if you are in a rush; especially around the windshield wiper cowl. Also, when wearing gloves be careful about what you touch. I found a smidge of the coating at the bottom of my windshield and was being careful not to touch anything else. I can't vouch for the longevity since it was just applied to the windshield cowl this afternoon.
