So I bought this stuff based on a YouTube review by Garage Couple. Liked their timeline comparison test! Works as advertised! Worth the expense! Follow the directions and you will be pleased with the results!

I've got a Nissan Xterra. After a little while the body plastics start to look like gray crushed velvet or raw primer. This is a forever circumstance with this car and I just lived with it, despite the car being sturdy enough to last a long time. I've tried Back to Black which works fine except much rubbing is required and the results don't last more than a week if that. In fact, that was the best product I've used to this point. And the heat gun trick is not long lived and not without its risks. A couple of tips for you: 1) Wear a respirator. I don't mean a COVID mask, I mean a VOC respirator, or an NBC mask. The fumes are intense. Enough to make you stop. Also do not apply without wearing gloves. 2) Coat generously. I made the mistake of being frugal with the pads. While a little goes a long way, there's no need to stretch the pads as they dry. Fold the pads over so you have a new surface to wipe with, that definitely works to extend the mileage of each pad. Once those are used up, just open a new one. I coated the whole car's plastics with just three pads and ended up going back with a second coat with two more pads. 3) Take your time and do a detailed job. Because this stuff does such a good job of restoring the original color, every bit that you don't cover will stand out. Getting into the seams (cutting edges) is an important step. What worked for me is covering the hard to hit spaces first (while the pads are well-soaked) and then covering the easy spots after. Have a clean terry cloth standing by to wipe up excess. 4) There is some prep involved in that cleaning is needed to get any surface infections off of the plastic. As to how necessary it is... unknown but it will make your application go smoother if everything is clean and DRY. Importantly though, follow the instructions. I was skeptical, not because of the quality of the product, as I've used Cerakote coatings before and have seen plenty of other reviews. I was skeptical because my plastics were in really terrible shape. For some of the surfaces the Cerakote covered and restored immediately. On other surfaces it looked like it only made a marginal difference. That coverage actually improved a week later, maybe because it needed to blend in. The second coat did even better. So take your time and be patient between application and drying. Get this stuff! If you're like me and nothing else is working, and you don't want to spend every weekend recoating your car's plastics, use Cerakote. No rubbing/scrubbing required, just wipe on. You won't be disappointed with the results and even if you are, it will still likely be a vast vast improvement. Also... wear a respirator.
