Great for Newer Plastics, Terrible for Older Plastics
So I used this on my 2006 Nissan Xterra. First thing to note is that this is NOT a dye or a replenisher like B2b or others. This is a top coating. After seeing a lot of great reviews I thought I would give it a try already knowing that it's not designed to "richen" the color of your plastics. I assumed based on reviews that it would at least bring some color back, which it did in some places. However if you are using this to RESTORE your fadded grey plastics this is not the product. This is however great for newer plastics that aren't overly faded and worn. All of the plastics did become at least a little bit darker and more shinny. However things like my side door plastics ended up in a multicolored mess. And it wasn't due to not cleaning it well enough, trust me they're as clean as they were going to get. I'm not new to detailing. So why three stars? Because the product is marketed as "Quick Trim Restorer" and even in the description it says that it isn't. It's a protectent, which is great. Because of this once applied you are stuck with the end result since it creates that hard candy shell to protect it. There is nothing wrong with the product it's just miss marketed in my opinion. It would be nice if this was a kit that came with or recommended a means of actually restoring the color in the plastics before applying it. I did make a big mistake, on a cool cloudy day I applied it to an area using the applicator that I had already used elsewhere so it was a little dry. It ended up being much warmer out than I had thought this ended up with streaking because I could not apply it quickly enough before it dried. Applying a second coat does almost nothing and ended up with a noticeable thick coating over the top. Much of what happened I anticipated in advance, so I emailed Cerakote asking them several questions and received a very generic response that they use in some of their responses to their reviews. I asked: - if covering a larger area how can I prevent streaking between applications - best way to wipe off excess plus a couple more questions Basically was told "not a problem", well it was. Bottom line is only use this if your plastics are already the color they should be, and apply it when it's COLD out and not in direct sunlight. I would recommend Cerakote to people with newer vehicles as I do think it does what it's supposed to but not as marketed.

Just did my trim yesterday. So far the results are looking good. We'll see how it lasts.

No pressure when applying.
I used this product on all plastic and rubber on my vehicle. If you want a good result when you are finished, you MUST coat the surface with plenty of product. No pressure on the applicator. The moment you are rubbing this product in the surface it will streak and not self level. DO NOT apply this product like you would a dressing. Use plenty of the applicators, not trying to squeeze more product out of the cloth to get the product/cloth to cover more ground.

This product really works great!
I am blown away by how good this product worked to restore my trim. I have a white 2015 F150 with a black trim package and there's a lot of trim on this truck. My trim was looking very poor, it was more of a crusty gray with whitish streaks instead of black. I gave Cerakote a try and the plastic trim looks new again. There's ten wipes in the pack and I used all ten to do my truck. I've read some negative reviews and saw a couple of negative videos on "ewe tube". I don't know why they had trouble, but I suspect these folks didn't do it right. First, take your time and give the plastic a good scrubbing. I used dish soap, water, a toothbrush, several melamine eraser sponges, a microfiber towel and really gave the plastic a good scrub. Second, I let the truck dry for a few hours and then moved the truck to the shade. Third, don't be stingy with the wipes. If you overuse the wipe and try to get every last drop out you will have streaks. The product needs to go down sufficiently wet. When the wipe is obviously giving up, toss it and grab another. I wish I had before and after pics, but I didn't bother because I didn't know how well this would work. This product absolutely works! I don't normally bother to write reviews, either good or bad, so the fact that I did this time tells you that I'm a believer.
